Meditation is the process of quieting ones mind. You can keep the mind silent amidst all the struggles, doubts, pain and stress that you are feeling, and it is possible because meditation is able to channel through the state of consciousness beyond what you experience when you are awake. Meditation, as a science, follows a specific process and it helps a participant achieve a different kind of experience. In a meditative state, you will have successfully cleared your mind so that it is relaxed and focussed. Through meditation, you are able to escape from your external environment while remaining fully awake. What you achieve is a state of stillness, so that you can get rid of confusion, disappointment and doubt.

Meditation can be done any way and in any hour of the day. Most people choose to start their days with meditation, so that they can channel out what has happened in the past and give themselves a chance to start anew. You can choose to start your day with meditation, so you will be more effective in your various functions:

·        Through successful meditation you get to identify your unproductive habits and reflexes and create some kind of balance that allows you to be more free to do what you have to do.

·        Meditation will give you freedom from endless noise and chaos. Sometimes you can cover your ears and your eyes to the distractions but it is not as easy as that. Meditation gives you freedom from everything, so you will be content and peaceful.

Creating Your Meditation Room

People use meditation for all kinds of things. You can also meditate anywhere, but you can choose to have a meditation room where you can practice in peace, away from other people. You can create a perfect environment that will be conducive for achieving balance; and you ensure such a success by designing your perfect meditation room:

·        Incense: The smell of incense will help you relax. Incense come in different scents and you can choose a perfect scent that appeals to you the most, but lavender is a famous choice.

·        Cushions: When you meditate, you will be on the floor and this can be quite uncomfortable, especially if you are going to spend a length of time in the room. The pillows will help you stay longer because it will make sure that you are comfortable.

·        Music player: Music plays a big role in meditation. It can create a perfect mood and help your relax.

·        Candles: The candles may or may not have scent, but since meditation is done well in the dark, you can have a dimly lit setting with the help of candles.

·        Flowers: Flowers are color reminders of life and it gives a very faint scent, that when combined with the candles and the incense, will create a perfect atmosphere.
