Confidence is the intangible weapon that helps people win life’s battles. The inner weapon that most people rely on is confidence. Truly, self-confidence is a very simple yet powerful quality that can break through barriers for those who possess it.

Developing Your Self Confidence

Some people have too much of self confidence but others have very little. If you do not have enough, it is important that you find a way to develop your own self-confidence.

·        Improve your self-esteem: You can improve your self-esteem through different ways. The easiest way is to begin counting and recognizing the good things in your life. Count your blessings and not your insufficiencies. Recalling all of your accomplishments is also a good thing. When you constantly remind yourself of the things that you are great with, you will gain more confidence in yourself.

·        Look good, feel good: They always say that if you look good, you will feel good about yourself and everything else will fall into its right place. Your image says so much about you. Your posture and your command will dictate your persona; and your choice of clothing will be your defining coat of arms. If you are fond of clothes that are dull and drab, then you will be dull and drab, as well. 

·        Overcome your shyness: To overcome shyness, you have to overcome your fears, which is usually the root of it all. Once you have pinpointed the root cause, you can address them accordingly. Shyness can be overcome. If you are afraid of people, force yourself to be amongst people.

Effective Self-Confidence Boosters

Transformation is not easily achieved; it is worked for and the work is not going to be easy. When a runner sets himself up for a race, he equips himself with energy boosters that he can quickly take in, when he is almost out of it. Exhaustion is part of the race and losing control over your life is part of living this very complicated existence. To be able to cope with all of it, you will need to refer to some self-confidence boosters that you just need a dose of, and for sure, you will become more confident about yourself.

1.      Imagine yourself as someone with power. Picture yourself at the acme of your dreams and do not give yourself limits. As long as you can think it, then it is possible. Your vision will keep you going along the way.

2.      Do not be afraid to take risks. Be brave and take the challenges even if your failure is inevitable.

3.      Do not be afraid to go out of the ordinary. Try something spontaneous and see how it goes from there.

4.      Give yourself a pat on the back for every great thing you are able to accomplish.

5.      Whisper sweet nothings to yourself. If this technique works on couples and on little children, this should work on you, as well.

6.      Speak up for yourself and for what you believe in. Do not allow yourself to be pushed over. Try speaking up and you will realize how amazing it will feel.
