·        It gives you the power to carry out the decisions you have made in life, even if the current conditions deems it impossible. In other words, it teaches you to be preserving. It teaches you not to give up even if all you are getting are failures and setbacks.

·        It helps you overcome practices that keep you away from progress such as addiction, laziness and procrastination.

·        It makes you strong enough to avoid and resist temptations that may hamper your way to the top. It keeps you firmly on the ground and keeps you where you are supposed to be, and what you are supposed to do.

Self-discipline is very powerful. If you are fortunate enough to have a little of it going in your life, you can surely work harder to be able to develop it. First of all you can by taking responsibility for your own life.
